Boulder County Tornado
This tornado still was taken with a video camera approximately
6 miles from the point of touchdown in Boulder County.
Photos taken by others on the opposite side of the storm show
a white tornado against a dark sky. No one was injured in
the storm, but coincidentally, a woman I've worked with for
many years owned the house where the twister struck. She
was in her basement with family members at the time.
A man who was mowing the lawn on nearby property took
shelter from what he thought was just a rainstorm, and just
moments later, a large uprooted and airborne tree landed on
the lawnmower he had seconds before abandon.
The funnel cloud as it dissipated and drew
back up into the clouds.
