. . . ........... Lady Sadraz Lothspell created The West Foundation in honor of her late husband, Sir West Lothspell, Knight of the Lily, to assist exiles newly arrived to the Lok'Groton islands. The goal of the West Foundation is to give financial assistance to new exiles. Too often they arrive at Lok'Groton penniless and without a means of support. HOW TO QUALIFY In order to qualify for a grant, which is currently 100 coins, a candidate must submit a written autobiographical scroll (of some length so it has the feel of a story) on the subject of the candidate's choice. Please take the time to read stories submited by successful grantees, or check out some suggested topics. Successful grantees will have their scrolls published on the West Foundation Scroll. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR STORY a) Contact a WF Board of Director who will act as your liaison and guide. b) A story should present your character in development and describe an event in your life. Please include somewhere in your story information about your race, sex, and origins. If this Information must remain a secret, please attempt to explain why. c) Stories take about an ooc week to evaluate so please be patient. If you require the funds sooner, please make that known to the Board of Director with whom you are working. We will make every effort to accomodate your need. d) Occassionally, we see a story that we like but have some recommendations for revision. If this happens, we will increase the award to 150 coins as we know it takes time to be creative. If a story is rejected, the applicant will receive 50 coins. Please know that if your story is rejected, it is no reflection on anything but a view that character development has not been met. e) In addition to the written story, we will also review text logs and movies as long as they are not overly long in duration. f) All stories will become property of the West Foundation.
