Cascade Geyser is located in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone. Cascade rarely erupted until January of 1998 when a small earthquake caused it to become active. As of October 1998 it is erupting once every few days. Cascade discharges a lot of water which falls directly into the Firehole river.
