Welcome to the Geyser Cinema web site. This site has over 100 geyser movies with more to come. It was created as a open forum for geyser gazers to share their movies. All movies and images are copyrighted and used here with the permission of the owner.

Many people have contributed their favorite geyser movies. If you would like to contribute a geyser movie to this site click the contribute button for more info. If you see some information presented here that is incorrect or could be enhanced please let me know. I would like to have current interval, duration, and behavior for each of the geysers here.

Whats New:

Jan 2005 - Added Solstice Geyser.

July 2004 - Added Buried Geyser.

January 2004 - Added Avalanche, Baby Daisy, Big Bowl, Big Foot, Butterfly, Divide, Pink, PMG-3, PMG-4, and Slide geysers. Updated Oblong and Pink Cone geysers.

November 2003 - Added a link to Geyser Television from Rotura, New Zealand sent in by webmaster Peter Archibald. The link has a live controllable web cam with a view of Pohutu Geyser.

March 2003 - Added navigation tabs to the website. Now you can select the movie you want by an alphabetical listing, by basin and group, or by clicking on a map (incomplete). The maps are a huge project so it will likely take a long time to get them done.

February 2003 - Added 4 movies of the El Tatio, Chile geyser field sent in by Alan Glennon.

December 2002 - Added A0, Bead, Box, Mercury, Mound, North Goggles, and Vixen geysers. Updated Fountain, Imperial, and Spray geysers.

July 2002 - Added Lone Pine, Iron Pot, Pearl, and Startling geysers. Lone Pine and Startling were sent in by George and Sue Schroeder. Pearl was sent in by Sharon Barela.

March 2002 - Added Pyramid and Terra Cotta geysers. Updated Beehive and Grand. Updated the Geyser Links page with a new link to Large Format Images by Anselm Gademann and a link to Yellowstone by Jules Caris.

To be able to play the movies you will need to have Quicktime installed on your computer. If you don't have Quicktime, you can install the latest version from here for free. If you use Internet Explorer version 5.5 sp2 or later you may need to download a new active X quicktime plugin.
