Iron Pot Geyser is a backcountry geyser in the Sentinel Meadows group in Yellowstone. In September 2001, Iron Pot was erupting with an interval of more than 4 hours. The duration was 33 minutes. Iron Pot slowly filled in its deep crater over a period of several hours until it was about a foot above a dark stained area. Then it quickly filled and erupted. I would like to thank Dick Powell for starting the camera while I was wading through the marsh on the way to the Queens Laundry.
