Lion Geyser is located on Geyser Hill in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone. In early October of 1998, Lion erupted about every 9 hours between series and about 1 hour and 20 minutes between eruptions in the series. The duration is about 6 minutes for the first of a series and about 4 minutes for the second. Only two eruption series were seen.
