Porkchop Geyser

Porkchop Geyser is located in the Norris Geyser basin. Porkchop was a perpetual spouter and was so loud it could easily be heard from the parking lot about 1/2 mile away. Porkchop's activity became so violent it exploded on September 5, 1989. Geyser gazer Mark Knowlden captured the before and after movies below. Make sure you listen to the sound.
