Solitary Geyser is located east of Geyser Hill in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone. In August 2000 Solitary erupted about every 5 minutes and had duration of about 10 seconds. Solitary occasionally has an eruption much larger than normal. This is one of the larger ones I saw. Some people have reported that solitary can be seen erupting above the trees from Geyser Hill.
